Oncology

Veterinary medical oncology represents a crucial field in the care of animals affected by neoplasms and requires expertise and advanced resources for effective management of oncological diseases.
Thanks to a multidisciplinary approach, state-of-the-art diagnostic methods, and a wide range of therapeutic options, Ticino Animal Hospital stands out for high-quality oncological care, offering targeted and personalized solutions for animals affected by tumors. Relying on a center like Ticino Animal Hospital for oncological prevention and early diagnosis maximizes the chances of complete recovery.

The growing attention to the health of dogs and cats has led to an increase in tumor diagnoses. Nevertheless, similarly to what happens in human medicine, there is an increase in life expectancy thanks to specific knowledge in veterinary oncology and timely intervention.

DIAGNOSTIC METHODS AND THERAPEUTIC OPTIONS
Various diagnostic methods allow a comprehensive evaluation of oncological patients. These include advanced imaging techniques, such as computed tomography (CT), which enable a detailed assessment of disease extent and precise guidance for treatment planning. In addition, biopsies, cytology, and genetic tests are used for accurate diagnosis and molecular characterization of tumors, enabling personalized and targeted treatment.

Ticino Animal Hospital offers a wide range of therapeutic options for treating oncological patients. These include surgical procedures for tumor removal, medical therapies such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy, as well as palliative care to improve quality of life in patients with advanced disease.

COMPREHENSIVE PATIENT CARE
At Ticino Animal Hospital, comprehensive patient care is a top priority. The multidisciplinary team works closely with veterinarians in other disciplines, such as surgery, radiology, clinical pathology, nutrition, and internal medicine, to ensure a complete and coordinated approach to oncological care, guaranteeing the most up-to-date international standards through integrated therapy, which is currently the foundation of every modern treatment.
Multidisciplinarity, patient-focused care, research activity, and the dedication of our veterinarians ensure the highest level of care achievable.
